Quality Items = Better Auction Results

To provide the best possible auction results for our consignors, we focus on items with strong buyer demand and collector interest. Due to limited space and changing market conditions, we are selective about the items we accept.

Items We Do Not Want

The following items are generally not accepted for consignment:

• Clear glassware, vases, and other decorative glass items

• Low-value and everyday kitchenware and housewares

• Newer clothing, children's clothing, and shoes

• Bedding, sheets, comforters, pillows, and linens

• Most modern and everyday books

• Cordless power tools without batteries or chargers

• Non-working, incomplete, heavily worn, damaged, broken, or chipped items

• Large entertainment centers and armoires

• Large artificial trees

Items that do not meet our consignment standards may be declined, grouped into box lots, donated, or disposed of at The Pickin' Chick's discretion.

Furniture

• Furniture larger than a typical end table or side table must be approved prior to drop-off.

• Due to limited space and changing market demand, we reserve the right to decline furniture that is not a good fit for our auctions.

• If furniture is declined, does not sell, is not picked up by the buyer, or is otherwise required to be removed, the consignor is responsible for retrieving the item.

• Furniture not retrieved may be subject to storage, moving, removal, or disposal fees.

Damaged & Low-Value Items

Items that are damaged, broken, chipped, heavily worn, incomplete, or of low resale value may be grouped into box lots at The Pickin' Chick's discretion in order to maximize overall auction proceeds.

Items determined to have little or no auction value may be declined and must be retrieved by the consignor.

Retrieval of Declined Items

Any items the consignor is required to retrieve must be picked up within three (3) days of notification unless other arrangements have been approved.

Items not retrieved within that timeframe may be donated, disposed of, or assessed applicable storage, moving, or disposal fees.

Right to Refuse Consignments

The Pickin' Chick reserves the right to decline any item, refuse any consignment, or discontinue accepting future consignments at its sole discretion.

Auction Timeline

Auctions generally take 30–45 days to process from the time items are received. Larger consignments or special circumstances may require up to 90 days.

Processing times are estimates and may vary depending on the size of the consignment, seasonal demand, staffing, and auction scheduling.

Updates to These Guidelines

The Pickin' Chick reserves the right to modify or update these Consignment Guidelines at any time. The most current version will be available on our website and will apply to all future consignments.
